PresidentMarty Miller
Marty serves as President of the Vista Optimist Club, continuing a long record of leadership and service to Vista's youth and families. He has previously served the club as both President and Vice President and remains closely involved in programs that create opportunities for local young people. Marty managed the Rancho Buena Vista Little League team that finished second in the 2005 Little League World Series and has also coached baseball at El Camino High School. He was recognized as the Boys & Girls Club of Vista's Man of the Year in 2005 and was inducted into the Vista Hall of Fame in 2020. A longtime Vista businessman who owned a general construction company for more than 40 years, Marty has served on the Vista Irrigation District Board since 2008 and represents the district on regional water boards. His leadership reflects a lasting commitment to youth, public service, and the Vista community.

Treasurer-ElectGreg Black
Greg Black has been a Vista Optimist Club member since 2021 and enthusiastically supports the club's mission and community impact. He retired in 2024 following a career of more than 35 years in the aerospace and defense industry and is proud of his contributions to our national security. Greg began his career as an engineer and progressed through roles in functional management, project management, general management, and profit-and-loss responsibility for major U.S. defense firms. He also held executive leadership roles in the energy sector from 2008 to 2012. The final 15 years of his career focused on international business development and included an 18-month expatriate assignment. Greg is married with four adult children and four energetic grandsons. He enjoys traveling, golf, pickleball, gardening, and wilderness experiences.
SecretarySteven Torres
Steven serves as Secretary of the Vista Optimist Club, helping keep members informed while supporting the club's records, communications, meetings, and community initiatives. He is actively involved in the club's efforts to strengthen local youth programs, scholarships, fundraising opportunities, and long-standing community events. A North County San Diego real estate professional and self-employed business owner with more than 20 years of experience, Steven leads Torres Team Real Estate and assists buyers and sellers throughout the region. He brings practical experience in communication, organization, and problem-solving to his club service, along with a strong commitment to dependable leadership and the Vista community.
